I started out wanting to sample one of my favorite Janet tracks for a beat, but it endend up in this weird rework where the track is pitched down, while the vocals are pitched up.

What started out as an inside joke about wearing shades while it's raining outside turned into a full song when I recorded the track 'Regenjas & Planga' featuring vocals by Faberyayo, Vespa Virgil, Sef and Lentini. Originally appearing on a Hiphopleeft mixtape last year, the track has since inspired fellow producers SirOJ, Boeboe, Koen, balkonn and CXRCLE (Hayzee & Mucky) to create their own take of the song. I was out in Kingston with The Flexican and Major Lazer to shoot a video to our song 'Bumaye (Watch Out For This)' featuring Busy Signal on vocals. DJBroadcast collected the best flicks from our Instagram feed and made a nice recap, enjoy.

Fanny Packs contains a few remixes and reworks I made over the passed couple of months to spice up my DJ sets. If you consider yourself a regular of the Amsterdam nightlife, chances are you have attended a Bassline party at least once. Started at the Roxy, now held at Paradiso, Bassline is officially the longest running hip-hop party of the Netherlands. I've been a resident DJ at Bassline for some years now so I dubbed this rework of Guetta's "Bass Line" as an anthem for the party.
